Men SHOP too!
Shopping has always been associated with women. It's a chick thingy, men dont shop. Actually men do, just that we dont window shop. If i want a pair of pants, i just go to my favourite boutique, Dockers@Sunway Pyramid, pick up one and pay! If i need shirts, i go, i see, i buy! This may not always be the best options, but then i dont do shopping often either, so what the heck!
Lately, i've been up to shopping of another kind, home electrical and lighting equipment shopping. We're moving to our new place in Bandar Botanic and i had to get all the light fittings, heaters, fan's and AC's. This time somehow, i started to shop like a women. This is probably because every cent spent counts to my almost empty pocket :D.
Back in Office, 2 office mates are doing the same. Both my buddie, Ezri and TJ are shopping for the same stuff to move to their new homes. I couldnt imagine that we've started comparing notes on a daily bassis on where's the best A/C deal, light deal, kitchen cabinet deals, best tilers in town etc! We've compiled a list and i'll share with you folks shortly! .....
But in essence, the reason why i put this up here is to let you folks know that MEN SHOP TOO, when the pockets run dry [:D] ....hahahahaha!
My LIST
- Contract Work - Dipak Sukam @ Mohammad - 0162901296
proven work, built bungalows for friends, very reasonable. Can do any type of structural work
- Kelvin Tiling Works - 0192697637
He does labour, all highly experiance tilers, old man, over 40's. Not the cheapest in town, but good!
- Kitchen Cabinet - Chan Cabinet along Pusat Perabot LDP (facing Western D along LDP)
He's got amongst the best rates in town, with proven quality. My extended family has been doing
cabinets with him for the last 7 years.
- Electrician - William - 0123003233.
Rates are fixed in the industry for each point type. He's realiable to get the job done correctly.
- Grill works - Alice/alex of Klang - 0193853998
Very good rates, after comparing a few sources, we took these folks. Good quality stuff & cheap!
- A/C and all electrical equipment - LEGEND Electric of OLD KLANG ROAD, a few shops away from Vithya's curry house. They have the best rates in town. Shop looks run down. So you shop other places for a particular model you like and go here to get their pricing. If you like the price, order and they'll delivery. Dont let looks of the shop deceive you
- Lights - FANCY(Lighting court) off Jalan Klang Lama, baught my apartment lights form them and also
the current botanice house lights with them. Good rates. D'Image lighting in SS2 also has good stuff
and rates.
