It's the GIZA !!!!!

Yes, it's the Pyramids of GIZA. The curious cat in me finally got satisfied after my driver enlightened me that the pyramids that we see everyday to and from work is the one of Giza! I took more pics today, thanks to Warid, my driver for stopping by the road!

It's as tall as a 40 storey building and i cant wait to get near to it and take more pictures! Perhaps one with me as the pharoah standing in front of the Pyramid :p . To the egyptions, it's a proud standing monument of their glorious past. I wonder what their past pharohs would think if they see the modern Egypt so "teruk" one!

Also, i found this quiet jackass standing by the road side. It reminded me of the Donkey in Shrek 2. Isnt it cute??? Next in my "to-do's" list is to capture a camel by the road, they are HUGE buggers! never thought camels could be that huge!

My First Pyramid sighting!

Welcome back folks, all the renovation work at home is done and now i'm back to my next destination. This time it's cairo and it's going to be a long stop here, 3-4 months!! I touched down in Cairo airport on 15th Jan midnight and it was freezing. Didnt know Egyption winter was that cold. Had a pick up waiting for me and took me direct to Hilton Pyramids resort, along the alexandria road. Alexandria is where the pyramids are ( i think so)!

On the 16th I moved into an apartment in Maadi, closer to cairo town. And i had my first sighting of a pyramid, think it's the one in Giza.

No more false pyramids that i was seing every day in Sunway, back in Malaysia. Holly goodness gracious me, these 2 were huge. Didnt get a good shot though as i took this shot while my driver was zooming past the city road at 100KM/h. Thanks to the anti-shake feature in my Lumix Fx-9, it wasnt too bad a shot!

The Ericsson office is in this new "Cyberjaya" like city called Smart village. A high security IT/Telco village on the way to Alexandria. I was told the rest of the pyramids are just 15 minutes away from office! Cant wait to see more!

Work is going to be tiring, real tiring and i'll be travelling a bit in the middle east in the next months or so, to Abu Dhabi in UAE and Kuwait to meet clients. Hope to pen more notes soon with more exciting pictures. Right now, i'm still learning how to use my first Digi cam!
